Odyssey had more combat elements and this showed only two and never even used dodge, just moving. None of them were great with the exception of AC2 It actually looks worse than Odyssey. Oh great another leak... Another reason for gamers to whine about for sure. This isn't it. It’s pretty similar from gameplay of the last 2 and that’s cool I guess. Still excited though I was expecting a re-skin of Odyssey, which in turn is a re-skin of Origins. @mrsolidsteel20 No... just no... AC stopped being phenomenal after AC2. The footage first showed up on YouTube before it was swiftly removed by Ubisoft.
I'm sure what they'll show next Sunday will look way better. etc. This is a good thing, given that at least visually, the leaked footage doesn’t look great. for exemple, riding a horse in odyssey right after riding a horse in RDR2 is really laughable. About halfway through Odyssey, I was using mostly assassin chain abilities in combat not just whacking things with weapons over and over. See the UI, you'll see Xbox buttons. Its a launch game. If you were upset at the official gameplay unveil for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla then the unofficial one is a lot more impressive.Leaks of this size never used to happen, but after The Last Of Us Part 2 it may be that they become more common in the future, although it’s unclear exactly where the Valhalla footage has come from it – with the original Reddit post on the matter claiming merely that it was ‘found’ on YouTube.It’s obviously the real deal though, not only because it’s impossible to fake this much footage but because Ubisoft keep taking it down from YouTube.The video above was live at time of writing but if it’s taken down the best thing to do is check The sequence in the video appears to be from near the start of the game but obviously don’t go watching it if you want to remain spoiler free.The footage is clearly labelled work in progress and you can see proof of that with broken animations and wonky artificial intelligence for your horse and other characters, so (hopefully) that means this is from quite a while back.The main quest involved has you uniting the English inhabitants of East Anglia to attack a castle held by an evil Viking, with longships provided by a more sympathetic Norseman.There’s a bit involving blowing up the castle walls that seems to be more inspired by The Two Towers than historical reality, but then that’s not something Assassin’s Creed has ever worried too much about.The gameplay (including what’s essentially a Spartan kick) and interface looks similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, while things like the cinematic camera seem to be inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2.A lot of the similarities could be temporary, depending on exactly how old this footage is, but there’s definitely a much bigger focus now on picking up other people’s weapons and throwing them at enemies.You also get glimpses at a skill tree, some raven vision, and a bit of platforming – in other words all the mainstays of Assassin’s Creed.We don’t think anyone was expecting some grand reinvention, but the graphics look good and our only real problem with the footage is how bad some of the voiceovers are. I am hoping to see a graphical upgrade like going from ACIV to Unity at the beginning of current gen. Black Flag was a cross-generation title like this one. Voice acting sounded stale. In the same drastic way Sony Santa Monica was able to revitalize god of war! So looks about the same as origins and odyssey. The leaked Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay doesn’t represent the final quality of the game. Hopefully the hyperbolic overhype does not misfire on upon its release. What is going on at ubisoft why do all games look alike now? In my opinion the thing that needs the most fixing is the current/future timeline. We know what to expect gameplay wise but by God it better look better than that at launch. A typical console gamer will not understand what you are trying to say. They have added new story, new gameplay, new settings and well new everything but it's still going to be a Assassins Creed game as that's what it is. What happened to AC series?

The footage looks to be in quite a rough state at times, suffering from bugs, frame rate issues, awkward animations and skipping cutscenes, suggesting this is far from the finished product. Origins was great and Odyssey was fun enough. Hoping this was footage much earlier build myself. Didnt people enjoy both those games? It’s safe to say that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to look much better by the time Ubisoft Shivam is a blogger who is always fascinated with technology and the amount of knowledge he can gather from the internet. ... same, but i'll reserve some judgment before seeing official video/more gameplay.
