As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. Sure, there’s very little here gameplay-wise that we haven’t seen elsewhere, but when it’s done as beautifully as this, with an engaging and compelling story, in a breath-taking open world, it’s hard not to fall head over heels. It’s got a lot to unpack and dig into for those who like exploration, with plenty of things to upgrade and improve upon.
Gameplay is so well made that it never gets old, hats off to developers.

I'm absolutely in love with the environment and graphics of this game. That said, every time Tsushima subjected me to its dreadful story and the tedious critical path missions, my patience wore thin. Generally favorable reviews
The Infamous series is the main culprit of my worries because, while those games did great critically, each one failed to capture my attention for long due to their repetitive missions and dull world/characters.

The PlayStation 4 gets to bow out of this console generation in suitably epic fashion with this incredible title. Thankfully, Ghost of Tsushima tackles the latter of these issues while the other still lingers, but it’s overshadowed by some incredible decisions made for exploration to make this one of my favourite open-world games this generation." Ghost of Tsushima is positioned as PlayStation 4’s last hurrah, and while it’s an underwhelming note to end on, perhaps a game that pushes technological boundaries while taking zero creative risks is a fitting bookend for this generation.
