Let's break it down! This makes it alot easier to avoid the swords as you fight him, helped me avoid them completely :)So this fight with (co-op) was actually pretty easy, not overwhelming but fun, thank you pilboI was just starting to get the hang of this fight, then backstepped off the roof. I had to leave him till end game because the first time at Cainhurts was not an happy fightSo I just defeated this guy but had serious trouble interrupting him. Those who are having trouble avoiding his aggressively fast and powerful combos should have much better luck shooting him just as he launches an attack, staggering/parrying him, and then following up with a visceral attack. When he starts channeling for 2nd phase, go behind him, charge an attack and visceral him. So I went to him, got a bit greedy with hits, and DIED without doing crap to him.
If you just roll and hit you’ll have a nightmare... you need to inflict visceral hits.
If the player is close enough, Logarius will occasionally use his scythe as a melee weapon. First phase is easy you need to bait his magic but second phase he goes berserk. Most of the time he will swing with both weapons, rather than cast spells, making it possible to stagger him more often. I dont know if this has been told before but I just beat him pretty easily using this so I hope it helps those having issues on this boss fight. In the end I stopped going for parties, and only then did I finally get him down. If you practice parrying enough in this game, things get A LOT easier.I’d say he’s the most challenging boss outside the DLC and the Depth 5s, unless you include the Bloody Crow of CainhurstOn my 2nd walktrough I killed him on first attempt, but it cost me 16 vials :D Done it with +6 caneThis boss made me learn to parry. Needless to say I learned my lesson.
Martyr Logarius is an incredibly powerful and aggressive boss.
